2023.4.12. Congratulations to Sudikshya and Cristina for their impressive achievements, each earning second place in their respective categories at the 2024 Annual Animal Science Research Poster Session. Sudikshya’s poster, “The Zinc-Finger Domains of Wilms’ Tumor 1 Protein Are Critical for Uterine Receptivity During Pregnancy,” showcased her research excellence at the Ph.D. level. Meanwhile, Cristina’s poster, “Ablation of TET3 in the Uterus Impairs Endometrial Decidualization and Leads to Placental Defects,” demonstrated her outstanding work at the undergraduate level. Well done to both of you!

2024.4.4. Dr. Wang receives the USDA-AFRI Competitive Grant to study adrenomedullin regulation of conceptus elongation and implantation in pigs.

2024.3.28. Dr. Wang receives 2024 Janice Bahr Junior Scientist Travel Award from Society of the Study of Reproduction (SSR). This award recognizes a Regular Member of the Society, and active Assistant Professor or a position of similar rank on the tenure track.

2023.8.8. Dr. Wang receives an NIH R03 grant from NICHD to study a novel epigenetic regulator TET2 in uterine function and fertility.

2023.6.5. Welcome Skye Sgouridis to join our lab as a summer research assistant.

2023.5.16. Both Cristina Hernandez-Rubio and Mariangel Barrios choose our lab for their Summer ASSURE Research (5/15-8/4). They will investigate regulations of Wilms Tumor 1 (Wt1) and Sirtuin 1 (Sirt1) genes in murine endometrium during pregnancy.

2023.4.14. Kudos to Maggie for winning 2nd Place at the Ph.D. level of the 2023 Annual Animal Science Research Poster Session. Her poster presentation is entitled “Uterine ablation of Tet Methylcytosine Dioxygenase 2 (TET2) impairs endometrial decidualization and placentation”. Bangmin, and Sudikshya have also presented their Ph.D. work. Way to go!

2023.4.6. Congratulations to Maggie for representing Animal Science and winning the 2nd Place award in Agricultural Sciences at the 16th Annual NC State University Graduate Student Research Symposium, held in the Jane S. McKimmon Center.

2023.3.29. Our paper entitled “Uterine histotroph and conceptus development: III. Adrenomedullin stimulates proliferation, migration and adhesion of porcine trophectoderm cells via AKT‑TSC2‑MTOR cell signaling pathway” is now accepted by Amino Acids. Congratulations to Bangmin!

2023.3.24. Dr. Wang receives an R01 grant from NIH/NICHD to continuously study reproductive aging and endometrium function.

2023.2.25. Dr. Wang, as a Regional Speaker, gave a talk at the 31st TCRB Meeting on reproductive aging and uterine biology; Bangmin, Sudikshya and Maggie also presented their poster presentation, ECU, Greenville, NC. Way to go!

2022.5.5. Our paper entitled “Uterine-specific SIRT1 deficiency confers premature uterine aging and impairs invasion and spacing of blastocyst, and stromal cell decidualization, in mice” is accepted by Molecular Human Reproduction and selected as Editor’s Choice. Congratulations to Maggie!

2022.4.26. Dr. Wang receives the 2021-22 Goodnight Early Career Innovator Award from the Provost’s Office at NC State University.

2022.4.13. Welcome Kayla Holloway to join our lab for her 2nd term rotation as an undergraduate researcher in the ASSURE Program!

2022.4.8. Dr. Wang receives two three-year grants from N.C. Agricultural Foundation, Inc. to study the new peptides to improve the uniformity of piglets at birth as well as strategies to reduce early pregnancy losses of sows under heat stress.

2022.4.8. Congratulations to Bangmin for winning 1st Place at the Ph.D. level of the 2022 Annual Animal Science Research Poster Session. His poster presentation is entitled “Functional roles of adrenomedullin in conceptus development during the peri-implantation period of pregnancy in pigs”. Maggie, and Sudikshya have also presented their Ph.D. work. Well done!
